I don’t know if you’re a younger man. But in my professional world and sporting endeavors I’ve noticed some younger generations feel strongly their opinion matters. I’m just not sure where that comes from.
Your opinion doesn’t matter. Facts do. Sorry.
The opinions you stated were actually...
I purshased the plain 5700 without any of the software. I already use and am comfortable with shooter on my phone. No matter what I must have DA and temp and a wind meter which it does.
Primarily I use a RF bino and am now very comfortable with its solutions and don’t need any software except...
I just plugged in your data, I did get the same thing.
Clearly your in the single digits I bet and your lower elevation and DA is impacting here.
I plugged DA of 1500 and a temp of 35 degrees for the heck if it and you’re just over 400 yards. Assuming your elevation is 700-1000’. That should...
The CL b, is very very comparable to previous generation 8x32 el. Non SV. The old EL was a touch brighter, while equal in detail and neutral color. The biggest difference is fov which noticeable in favor of EL and the weight which is noticeable in favor of CL.
I’d say buy them. Your heart is...
I’ll chime in. Back in the 70s when my grandfather had many paying hunters on his farm, I was always impressed with the 35 rem and 32 ws. Well hit game never went far. Cup and exposed lead tip in those days.
Years ago I wanted a mid bore in a a blr as I enjoy the fast handling of a lever. The...
Probably right.
It’s disappointing we get such disrespectful new members who aren’t capable of following a good thread topic. And participating accordingly.
If they disagree it should be a reason to start thread of their own instead we get blind narcissism
That’s your answer??? Stated very confidently with authority…
There are folks on this forum with your experience in each year of their hunting career. With dozens of calibers and hundreds of bullet typed from up close to over a thousand yards.
Your opinion might be enlightened if you stopped...
Agree on stihl. I’ve cut a shitton with it.
Msa 220 cb with their ap batteries. Definitely the equal if gas for 35-45 straight minutes of run time.
The big big trees best left to a longer bar and therefore gas
I dial for distance and I hold for wind using the reticle. I range with a ranging tool. I’m pretty good at reading wind but use a kestrel also.
I have no reason to do any division… maybe you’re trying to predict inches at the target???? And convert to moa??? I could care less and skip that...
Not directed at you.
As a fairly recent convert to mil/ffp the most compelling reason is less complex and faster to hold for wind accurately. Elevation is largely a push.
It seems those who favor sfp and moa look at this as two different decisions. In my view that’s the miss, no pun intended...
