So 3 days in the box and a number of pieces have hit 50% weight loss. Picture of outside and inside. Have to say it is quite delicious. Vacuum sealed in freezer it should last well over a year. Vacuum sealed in fridge I am hearing 4-5 months. Wife and I ate one whole piece today so thinking this...
We moved west 28 years ago to take advantage of all the things it has to offer. Now days you have to put up with a lot of liberal socialist bull sh**. But in the mean time I drew and killed bighorn, mtn goat, moose, elk, bear, antelope, whitetail, mule deer as a resident. Life is full of...
Always wanted to give biltong a try. Built a drying box and thawed out a venison round roast. Following a recipe from youtube. The weights of each piece get recorded and when they lose 50% they are good to go. Can go drier of course and I will experiment on this first batch.
Also watched a guy...
Uninstalling current granite, taking out old backsplash, taking out old sink and faucet. Putting in around 90 feet of quartz, new sink, new faucet, new disposal, new tile backsplash. Total for project $14,000.
Based on this if I ever did a Canadian hunt, the 23" barreled 6.5-284 would get the call. Had no idea these rules existed up there, so it was good to read this. Good luck to the OP on a successful hunt!
Dang, all kinds of good litters on the ground. I don't do Facebook but Granite Creek Drahthaars has a beautiful litter down. The mom is out of Vom Slaney Vale which is a well respected Canadian kennel. Sounds like males available.
Wanting to resist the puppy itch this year lol. I need to quit...
I can see it both ways. Only you know your current vehicle. In my previously owned high mileage rigs I'd have no issue driving across country. But I also have rented vehicles for better mpg and wear and tear on the rental not mine.
If you had concerns, get AAA coverage to offset the risk some.
I do euro mounts. If a guy skins the head, pops off lower jaw, carves out eyes and trims a bit, it cuts weight pretty good without sawing. Typically would debone with just a knife and no saw along. But everyone has their preferences.
No affiliation, but VD Westmark has 3 beautiful male drahthaar pups available. Parents have excellent backgrounds. If mine were two years older I'd snag one. You can find them on instagram and I think on Facebook or via google search.
Wife and I were up to our eyeballs with work last week. A day or two she said "you got an email, says you drew muzzy deer tag." I was nonchalant knowing it was a 0-1 point sort of tag and wasn't really surprised. We're driving a day or two later and she says, "You drew your antelope tag". I...
Owned a 2008 and a 2015 Tundra. Solid trucks, poor mpg, but zero maintenance issues. Bought a F250 with 7.3 gasser in 2022. So far 30,000 trouble free miles and same or slightly better mpg than the Tundras. Really love it so far.
I've used Seekins, Nightforce and ARC with no issues. No lapping. I have bedded rails with good success on older uneven 700 actions. Recoil plus heavy scopes = more sturdy mounting systems for me. But I use them on my dinks too.
Housing here is crazy high. I'd still shoot for 10-20% down on a 30. Then take every bonus, every tax refund, every wow I found money moment and toss it on the principal. If rates ever drop, do as suggested and change to a 15 or 10 year loan.
These rates aren't great but they can get much...
I just stocked up on Swiss ffg from Grafs. They have ffffg in stock at $39. If you need ffg or fffg, just stock up on that and grab a can of 4f. I don't own a flintlock but almost bought a pound of 4f since it will last 50 years or longer.
I see they also have Grafs classic black 4f. Its pretty...
I looked back at Evansville IN where I got my start. Denver vs Evansville. Denver housing costs 254% what Evansville housing costs. I'm gonna say the OP will be fine anywhere from there on south.
The price of housing is off the charts in the west.
You teach them to retreive the bringsel first I understand. Then with it hanging between their front legs, they only see it when they reach the carcass. Then when their head goes down they see the bringsel, grab it and retrieve it. No need for this in CO as they can't be off leash while...
