Thanks all. He’s going to sell his current Matthews monster that a friend of a friend sold him, and can hopefully find something used in the same price range.
What bow are you tall long armed folks shooting these days?
I have a buddy that is rather large. 6'5" 79.375" wing span, 31.5" draw, that has never had a bow that actually fits him. He uses whatever he has had from day one, or what he has found for dirt cheap because money is tight. His...
The 199 sledge hammers should work. I ran them in my 1-10 300wm behind rl23 with good results. Recently went down to the 180s to gain some velocity for some open country deer hunts. I’d be curious what those 199 sledges did on a moose at sub 500. I’d bet you’d be happy with the results
Thanks.
I have held both side by side and they are both amazing. I do feel like my eyes can tell a TIIIIIINY bit of light difference with the ELs over the NLs. I will be doing this type of purchasing once in my life and really want to pick the "best" for me. I'm just nervous playing with this...
I would like to know more about peax. I can’t really figure them out. Montana based, very few products, all from overseas, spent tons on sponsorship of the “big names” in the elk hunting world, how are they making it? Simply because gritty, lampers, and Jacobson are pumping their stuff out...
I’m going to return that trimmer. Have been suggested to buy this one instead. Will be nice to have all process in one electric device. Does anyone strongly disagree going this route...
Yep.
I’m a recovering fat kid plus had open heart surgery 2 years ago at 36. So, I am trying super hard to keep the weight down and be healthy. It’s tough with a food addiction so that meal plan and prep is huge for me. The plus side of the meal plan and prep is the weekly grocery bill is...
It would be easier to tell you what we eat than what we don't.
Kids breakfast before school is a half of a Daves everything bagel.
Mom breakfast, Rye bread toasted with cream cheese, honey and walnut chunks.
My breakfast, 2 boiled eggs. (we own 6 chickens that are averaging 3 eggs a day right...
Family of 4 with a 4 year old and 6 year old. We eat deer, elk or moose 4-5 nights a week. Veggies and fruits, Pack kids lunch for school most days. We average $250 a week for the weekly grocery pick up. Up from $180 18ish months ago.

If you would have stayed in 12s would you have made the switch?
I’m a 12 fanboy. Been behind 12s for more years than I can remember and can’t stand the thought of not using them.
In 12s…
Does anyone that own NLs ever wish they would have bought the ELs instead? The size and function of the NLs is so great, but that tiny extra bit of light with the ELs is so noticeable to me.
I’ve never played is this world of high end binos and coming from b.5 mavens, so still trying...
I have some 2k grit sand paper and 0000wool that I will use on the pilot in a drill tomorrow and see what happens.
For the cases that have the grove, would you load them? The ring/grove is not deep at all, you can feel it with a pick but not a screw drive or Allen key when run over it.
I have never created and posted a video before, but hopefully this works...
