For the folks that layer a Grumman over a Zenith Fleece. Are your two pieces the same size or is your Grumman sized one size up to fit/function and move while layers with a heavy mid below it?

Anyone ever strap children to their pack frame?

I wish it was mine. Was a neighbor that moved a few months after we moved in. I didnt get to know them well. About the only time they talked, I asked if I could buy it, he laughed and walked away. Then they moved...

Making Summer sausage (And Smokehouse build..kinda)

If using straight fat, I'd do a small batch at 10% and then work up if needed. I absolutely hate when Summer Sausage or snack stick coat my mouth in grease. As far as completely from wild hog; I'd say its very doable. I have never done it, but most commercial SS and sticks are 100% pork. I...

Making Summer sausage (And Smokehouse build..kinda)

Sounds and looks good. Though you already know, those summer sausage need some space! Next time split the batch up. You will get a way more consistent cook between each log. And yep, that pellet heat/smoke on your pig cooker is exactly what they are good at doing; in a smokehouse, not so...

Making Summer sausage (And Smokehouse build..kinda)

When smoking sausage in a smokehouse, if done correctly, you will not have dripping grease. Fat renders at 180 degrees, do not go above that to keep the product better and keep the fat where it belongs, inside the casing/meat/sausage. I have no idea why I am engaging with you, as it is clear...

Making Summer sausage (And Smokehouse build..kinda)

This is close to the burners I use. I use the red dial on the regulator on the hose, that you can see in the picture, to adjust the heat. I am able to adjust in 3 degree increments which is great...

Making Summer sausage (And Smokehouse build..kinda)

I just watch my thermometer and when it needs adjusting, I turn the propane regulator whichever way is needed. I will also adjust the exhaust holes to get the temps as close to even as possible. I run a probe high and a probe low, I want those temps as close to each other as possible...

    duckworth wool

I’ve been living in my spruce powder hoodie lately and freaking love it. For its warmth, its weight is surprising light. A ton lighter than just my normal cotton everyday hoodies. I’m still curious if someone can compare the cloud with the LPP.

    Plantation Quail hunt Ideas

Southwind plantation Georgia. It’s high money, high class, fancy man’s hunting. I’ve never been but have an uncle and two cousins who pretty much live there. Backwoods quail club outside of Georgetown SC. Been there and killed more quail than I can count. Hints were fun but have no idea...

    Chesnimnus/Eagle Caps Archery Elk

And for that laugh, I will help...a little bit Chesnimnus: Do the elk actually feed out into the open faces on the breaks? Yes Where are the high pressure areas I should avoid? You'll figure that out when hunting or scouting, there are plenty of areas that are high pressure. and how bad are...
