After a weekend or 2 of casual use they were fine and any Hotspots I thought I could feel had smoothed out. I then wore them to work 2-3 days a week for a month. They were fine after that. I would say after 50-75 hours they were broken in for my feet and I've been happy with them since. I also...
I love my 960's. Bought them last summer and used the hell out of them all fall and wear them daily when not working. When I first put my foot in them I thought, nope, not for me, but they broke in relatively quickly.
My work boots are Irish setters with the boa system. I'll never buy boa...
I'd really like to see run of the mill budget scopes like the bushnell 4500 and burris fullfield evaluated. They seem to be good basic scopes if you're a set it and forget it type of user. I figure the fullfield with the simple ballistic reticle would be a great scope for kids to learn to shoot...
A dry erase marker works on the front of a chest freezer. I always think about marking up what I put in and take out but at the same time I like to surprise myself what's left in there. Right now there's moose, elk, mule deer, whitetail, black bear, wild boar, grouse, and some fish. I run a few...
Here in sask you don't need to keep it. I shot one right at dark last fall during moose season. I gutted it and left it to be recovered the following morning. When I went back the next morning, there were large worms and parasites all over the gut pile so I didn't recover any of the meat. I...
I would look hard at apex optics. The hunter 3-15 checks a lot of boxes. Also I agree that swapping scopes sucks. Buy one good one and a Burris ffII for now for the rifle you're less likely to be messing with turrets on.
I just put together a kit for my new to me tracker. It all fits in a cabelas ice fishing kit which is about 3' long and has lots of organization.
Tow strap
Booster back
Booster cables
Shackles
Zip ties
Duct and electrical tape
Grease monkey gloves
Folding shovel
Agawa canyon saw
Hatchet...
Welcome from a another sasky. Where abouts are you located? I'm in saskatoon. Pm me if you need archery help. I've been shooting for a long time. Are you a member of a club?
Thanks. I may someday. It sure is a handy rifle in the bush but it never seems to be the first one I reach for. It's been on quite a few moose hunts but so far has only killed bears.
I used my t3 in 308 this year. 150ttsx worked fine on a small bull. I also like to carry my m77 compact in 338rcm but haven't kilt an elk with it yet. Just some bears. I plan on using my new build which is a 280 ackley next year.
A few years ago I helped out a guy that was pushing his broken down ranger back to the military base. He had a broken u joint and was trying to push his truck while the drive shaft was hanging from the back diff and grabbing every pothole in the very holy road. I grabbed a long zip tie from my...
I've got to spitting distance from a few very respectable bucks in canola or wheat fields. Usually it ends up being too close and they spot movement during my draw. I try not to get closer than 35-40 yards anymore. No need unless for some reason I grab the recurve that day. If I have the...
