    RESPONSE AR scope

I just finished a video with a guy on TRACT's RESPONSE AR scope. He's been in law enforcement for about 13 years and had some interesting insights. I'm curious to see what you guys and gals think about an AR scope. The RESPONSE is really built for long-distance shooting either on an AR platform...

Preparing for First DIY Elk Hunt

Thanks, guys. This is so helpful. I always keep survival-type gear in my truck, ie. sleeping bag, water, etc. But would not have thought about dealing with deadfall.

Preparing for First DIY Elk Hunt

I have yet to use OnX, believe it or not. But plan on getting it. Actually preplanning meals is a good idea. I know you can get creative is that respect rather than going the Ramen route for five days. Thanks again.

Preparing for First DIY Elk Hunt

I feel like I'm pretty good at "traveling light" so to speak. We're planning on going out and staying out for about five days so the weight is going to be a huge factor. I'd love to put some meat in the freezer, but more importantly I can't wait to spend some time with a good friend. Appreciate...

Preparing for First DIY Elk Hunt

A lot of great suggestions/recommendations. Much appreciated. I feel super fortunate to live at altitude even though I'm not spending my days in the rugged terrain we're likely to hunt. It's clear that I need to get a new pair of boots and start breaking them in right away. The buddy that I plan...

Preparing for First DIY Elk Hunt

I just applied for an elk tag here in SW CO with a friend of mine. Beyond knowing the general area where we'll hunt (assuming we draw), I'm curious about what I should be doing to prepare for the hunt? Back in the day I was an editor at Sporting Classics magazine and was sent on assignment to...

Thanks so much for that information. I will check out NRL. The fact that they're so open to new shooters definitely makes it much less intimidating. Thanks again.

    Getting into PRS Shooting

Hello and hope everyone is doing well. I was hoping to get some feedback on the Precision Rifle Series. Does anyone shoot PRS? If so, how did you get into it? What basics would you recommend for someone who’s interested? As always, appreciate any thoughts.

    8x vs 10x vs 12x Binoculars

Great points. I think you have a perfect glassing regimen what with the 8xs allowing nothing to slip by unnoticed and the spotting scope coming in for extreme long range needs. Thank you for your comment!

    8x vs 10x vs 12x Binoculars

Indeed, the 12x is a great choice for the flat country of South Texas and the mountains of Colorado. Thanks for your feedback!
