    Same for our area. I don't know why people expect a rebound 1.5 years after the worst winter in history, preceeded by severe drought and disease. It takes a few years guys! If the state keeps allowing does to be slaughtered and continues to over sell tags we will never see a real "rebound"...

    You are a bit paranoid and over thinking this if carrying a side arm for moose, wolves and lion. No worries there. Now in grizz country, yes I would carry one.

    Great write up with one disclaimer: Here in WY we have very few moose tags. It can take (and does) over fifteen years for a resident to draw. Most areas (units or zones) in other states only give out 2-5 tags annually for all applicants.

    I think ID beats WY in lion, bear and wolf quite a bit. When faced with which species to hunt during your off time and you have elk, muley and antelope tags, most opt for elk and mule deer to spend their time on. At least I do.
