I've used a thumb button before, what you're saying makes sense to switch between the two come hunting season. Although if you did have to shoot quick couldn't you just pull into the backwall harder with the Silverback?
Looking to up my accuracy this year, I know i've gotten good at punching the trigger and not always using back tension.
Just looking for some honest reviews from those who have used this release.
Thanks
Thanks for posting up the review.
Saving my pennies for a big bino purchase.
I don’t do a ton of rifle hunting (yet) but assuming my wife and I move back West I certainly will pick it back up.
I really like the idea of having a RF/bino combo to simplify things, and am primarily a bow hunter...
Great convo with Bill
I'm going to just go back to the ole reliable 5mm Axis Match grade's, they'll have Bill's 25 grain HIT and the 10 grain titanium collar.
125 Solid and 125 grain Wide's will be ordered before long
I have a Mathews V3 31, Hamskea Trinity Pro rest, and Tightspot quiver.
For some reason I can't have my Tightspot mounted flush on the attachment part that goes on the sight bracket deal, because if I do then the bottom bracket of the quiver (where the arrow holders are) hits the outside...
GT Hunter Pro: 300 spine 29" standard insert with 20 grain insert weight and 125 head.
H.P. comes out to about 480 grains. Assuming I get PERFECT arrow flight-would 480 be good for elk, assuming a quality broadhead and tune of course?
With the ones I've lost out target shooting, i'm down to a half dozen that my buddy is going to buy from me.
I do like the idea of the IW collars, and will run them with whatever setup I go with (with the exception of the GT's of course).
I’ve lost all faith in the arrows, especially the pass thru that broke on a tree, and the misses that destroyed the arrows.
V3 32 67#@29” they are like 505 grains (50grain hit and 150 point).
Just shots at whitetail. One stuck thru both shoulder blades on a young doe, broke on both ends. One pass thru on a mature doe, broke when it stuck into the tree (broke at the middle part of the arrow which was strange). Follow up shot on another doe (mis-judged yardage) went into the ground and...
Rip TKO’s have been a major disappointment, especially considering the cost. Out of a dozen and a half (two different batches from two shops in different parts of the country) seven have broken on shots into game/at game.
I tend to look for an arrow system that works and stick with it. Tried...
I would have thought so for how expensive they are. I bought one batch (dozen) from my local pro shop, and another half dozen was brought to me from his shop out in Montana. Can't imagine that these 18 were from the same batch considering the 1,000 mile difference.
I won't ever shoot em again-...
For $190+ a dozen, I can tell you I’ll never shoot the Victory RIP TKO’s again. What a garbage weak arrow.
Broke half a dozen, 2 at TAC, 3 on whitetail and one when during tuning, forgot to check my sights after moving the rest and hit the top of the target.
Never had anything like this happen...
Went to the shop last night, turns out my bow is 67.2#, not 62 like I thought.
Thinking BE Spartans 300 spine, 28.5", 26 gr steel insert w/50 grain weight, 200 grain heads should be about perfect. Gets me to 575 grains+/- a few with glue and if I go with wraps.
Should work?
I have a 260 with the 50 grain HIT and even 300 grain field point is too stiff at 29 1/8 carbon to carbon.
Hoping to make a 300 spine Axis with 75 gr brass and 200 grain point work. Anybody know how long I should cut the arrow?
