Zip off bottoms

Pnuma Gear has some pants that have zippered vents on the inner thigh seams. Doesn't seem like many people actually use anything from this brand though.

Lightweight down puffy recommendation

Eddie Bauer Microtherm 2.0. It doesn't list the weight on the website but the hooded version weighs 12oz so the hoodless has to be around 10. I got the hooded version for my hunting coat this winter... ended up wearing it to work everyday too. It also has a no fault lifetime warranty.

If budget is not an issue Kuiu SD Pro's all the way. They have a looot of warmth in 16oz.

The rain gear uses whatever fancy membrane that sounds like it would be similar to eVent's direct venting, although the Kutana breath-ability rating is still a lot lower than eVent's, the breathability performance might be better than people are initially thinking. Time will tell...
