Classic case of a good craftsman/poor business man. Never should have taken a $4000 job on an $800 gun without 75%-100% down before touching it. Hopefully the $4k education will serve him well.
Well they use these newfangled jet planes to move freight...
As the story goes IIRC, the founder of Fedex, Fred Smith, got a "C" at Yale grad school on his paper with the idea for a transportation company.
After serving with the USMC in Vietnam he started Fedex in 1971.
According to Forbes...
For $25 I bought one from Weka. It is long enough to make 2 for my Scythe Ti. I wrapped it with vet wrap. It is a couple % of the total cost of my gun/suppressor/scope/other gear. :)
Wait, you "made the decision to sell off my other scopes", without a replacement in hand?
Well anyway the easy answer is the 10x SWFA with side focus, in stock for $400.
The barreled action I picked up from UM last week, had red paint on the trigger housing bolt. And a tube of Vibra-Tite in the UM ring box. Never heard of it before.
I have been using red loctite on threads and black fingernail polish on screw heads for 10+ years with no issues. But I tried the...
It would be really hard to quantify barrel life vs. a few grains less powder. To get your brass completely fireformed will typically take 3 fireings or so. I like FF loads to be around 90% of max. New ADG brass fired in my 30 Nosler doesn't need the shoulder moved back, until after the 3rd time...
I put it on the bullet, so no powder issues. Very little to none of the wax can touch the powder. I haven't observed any problems. I have used moly as well, the wax works better for this application.
I picked up my 6 ROKUM from UM last week. Adjusted the scope after the first shot and the next 10 went into 1.2". I'm using N565 w/ Berger 105's to start. I will be switching to 115 DTAC and/or 109 Eld's with N570.
Very happy with the work UM did.
As for your collapsed shoulders, I put some...
Pre G2's are adjustable for creep and overtravel, but not pull weight. However, they are probably one of the best triggers on a factory gun there is.
The G2's can be made much better. I have done a few, Mike Bellm of Bellm T-C's has springs and instructions on his web site.
One of mine is a...
