Other than the 7 PRC, your list has everything you need. The PRC is gonna beat you up over 20 stages and make it harder to spot impacts but it's your hunting gun so roll with it.
Don't expect to use your Kestrel on the clock. That's something to check at the waiting area before a stage.
It has nothing to do with scoring.
What I was saying is that you'd have different wind calls for each gun in the same conditions. It would be very frustrating to miss because you confused the wind calls under the stress of time. Pick one and run it the entire weekend.
Definitely true. Plus, you'll have a different gun number and will need to adjust your wind calls accordingly. Best to pick one and use it the entire match.
This happens often when clearly defined. If you're not finding targets right away always re-verify where the limits are and, more importantly, where you are in relation to the rear pin. If all looks correct then stand and glass.
That must have been a Hunter One match. In a 2-day Hunter match everything is blind. I must have missed the fact that we were discussing Hunter One.
Last weekend's match in Florence, CO, was the most difficult Hunter match I've ever shot. Took a while to find all the targets (still didn't...
I’ve used the Wiser in a couple Hunter matches and didn’t like the levers getting in the way. They also make it easy to loosen by accident.
In match mode, I leave the pan and tilt at a specific setting so I made some knurled knobs. Small enough to not get in the way and no lever to bump and...
So, do you choose 20 mph wind or 8" of fresh snow for your match? Snow turns to mud immediately in 40 degree temps and 100 shooters going through a stage.
Hunter match in Florence, CO, this weekend.
I just built a 22 ARC in a gas gun with a 20" barrel. Factory 88 ELD-M's are 2735 fps.
This is my first foray into gas guns and I only finished it last week. I'd hoped to just use factory 88 ammo but groups are larger than an inch so I may have to reload. I have all the parts for a buddy...
I ship guns all the time via USPS. The two post offices I've used never said a thing when I told them it was a gun. It must not be marked in any way to indicate it's a firearm. ATF regs.
Handguns are a different story. PO regs require FFL to FFL and form 1508 to be completed.

Indexing the bolt does work. Fairly straightforward when you understand what those instructions mean. There must be some interesting measurements on the underside of that bolt head and the recess to get it to reduce/increase the bolt protrusion.
@thegoosano, have you removed the handle on the Wiser and tried to use the knob? The knob appears to be too long and things have to be moved about to get it on until tight. Then, it only has a little bit of adjustment before it hits the plate or part of the head. I have to be doing something...
