    Oh you’re in the mountains. Those Appalachian mountain chain deer are another beast. If you sit down and try to figure them out it’s quite addicting just not like hunting other places. Less deer density harder terrain and an animal that doesn’t act like a normal deer does

    I bought the bow hanger from genesis 3D printing. Drilled out the top hole and put it in I think 5/16 amsteel. I can slip it around the tree as I need on back of tee shots.     Glad I could help. I also use the M7 for permanent or through the season stands. I’ve got to where I prefer to use the retrograde for everything now. I may have missed it. Don you use a harness or saddle. I’ve went to a rock climbing harness and it’s great.

    I used a 25 locked in last year. I’m only hunting whitetail. This year I bought a black gold rush 5 pin. Removed 3 pins. Set a 25 and 30.     Always, always check your tree stand for any possible issues. Had a cable break today when I was in the stand.

    I leave out a couple stands each year. They are for my kid because I carry mine in and out. They come down at the end of the season and get gone through and items replaced if needed.

    The lack of spread kills it. Might gross a hundred. The deer below is 112” net. My dad killed it years ago.

    Hoffman - lathrop - Meindl

    I use meindl for work and have a pair of comfort fit extreme and lathrop and sons mountain hunter elite. The meindls have been sitting on the shelf since I had ankle surgery due to the L&S minimizing irritation on my plate in my leg. Nothing wrong with the comfort fir extreme.
