    2024 CO Antelope Outfitter

I have been thinking about using an outfitter and burning my 6 resident pp's in 2024. I would like to hear some personal experiences and/or recommendations. I have never used an outfitter myself. The photo is of my daughter and I with her first pronghorn taken on a property adjacent to ours. PMs...

    Tent recommendation

Sky ULT 1 may be a good choice... But, there are other factors. What type of terrain/weather are you expecting? Different regions have different variables. I have spent September hunting, from under a trap, Big Agnes 1p tent, Hilleberg Nallo 2p, kuiu mountain star etc. Weather and terrain will...

Correct way to run on rocks with rifle?

Firearm safety is firearms safety. But, I can tell you, I have ran with a rifle in my hands for many years, up, down, and side ways in various terrain. Once my children, learned the fundamentals of firearm safety and executed in the field we stepped up the training scenarios. But, this has taken...

    Stupidity...... Can this be fixed?

If it were me, I would head to the closest reputable Prime dealer and have them assess. But, I'm pretty sure you need a new cam. May have damaged limbs and possibly your rider.

Hung up on bino power: 8 vs 10

There is alot of good information here and alot to consider. I am following as well. I used 8s and 10s for years. Then I stuck a pair of 12s on my tripod. I haven't looked back.

Montana General vs Colorado 0 Point Unit (Archery)

I suspect that most "easier" to draw units will have comparable pressure. Tag allocation and terrain are factors a play.

    When to replace rain gear

I was just contemplating this very question. I have been running the Sitka Dew Point jacket and pants for about 10 year. They seem to be holding up just fine. I treat them with Nix Wax before every season. Good luck on your hunt.

Is the legendary Region G dead?

IMO there are many factors. #1 being winter range carrying capacity. Over the years we have watched the rise and fall and rise and fall of units/regions just like this. For example, the Gunnison basin. A well orchestrated plan will take many years before we see the positive effects of the...
