Maven Rs1.2 2.5-15 is my pick. It never leaves 6x and have taken shots from 15 yards out to 400. Still have the option for 15x or 2.5x if preferred. And the reticle is great
I would jump through whatever hoops necessary to be able to own a suppressor in Hawai’i. Would be especially nice since we have small units with high hunter numbers.
While I have no experience on elk, I have shot multiple deer this year most being sub 60 yards and a couple that have been around 350-400. I have yet to see an Eldm explode even if placed in the middle of the shoulder.
Just set up my little brother’s gun today and couldn’t get decent groups with 168 Eldm or 155 Black. Everything was paint penned and torqued to spec. Shot off both bags and bipod. Stock doesn’t appear to be contacting the barrel. I set the trigger to 3lbs and also had three different shooters so...
Not only that but my brother shot a 5x6 public land Washington white tail last year while vaping and listening to a podcast in his ground blind… I saw one buck that season.
Ordered 12/21 Railed Tikka Sendro with spacers. Had to open up the barrel channel as expected and the recoil lug took some caressing but overall easy install. Will wait for the paint pen to dry and hopefully get it sighted in and then go blast some goats on Saturday.
In my opinion, all the packs mentioned can carry 40 plus pounds no problem but some packs work for others and some don’t. My advice would be to buy as many packs as you can, load it up with weight, and go for a hike. Then pick the one that is the most comfortable and then return the rest. I used...
I have taken 3 axis deer with the 143 eldx all sub 60 yards. Normally I shoot the 147 eldm but had to switch it up after not being able to find any. My results were that the bullet worked as intended even with one shot square in the front shoulder. But then again it’s coming out of a 24in 6.5cm...
I would recommend anything in the 3500 to 5000 cubic inch size. If you can manage, I would buy all the packs that fit your criteria and test them for fit and comfort with weight in each pack. The best pack is the one that is the most comfortable to YOU. There is nothing worse than packing out an...
I tape my muzzle break as well. MDT has a YouTube video on it. They used electrical tape on muzzles breaks and there was no change. I think the furthest they shot was around 700 if I remember correctly.
