It was quieter and less bulky that the previous WS puffy. Didnt feel as durable obviously. It was cut a bit longer in the torso as well, that was a major gripe for me with the WS jacket, it fit wide and shorter on me, and the hood was really weird i thought. Not sure if this hyperdown is...
I tried this jacket on back in the spring, the rep didn't have much info on it unfortunately, or maybe he didn't want to spill the beans too much on it. It was a reallllllly nice and comfortable jacket. I wear a size large in jackets and the size large in this jacket fit perfect with room for...
I think if you ground out a notch in the base of the actual base of the tripod head where it screws to the tripod you'd be ok. Thought about doing that with mine but haven't yet. You'd have to notch the tripod as well. I do wish the handle folded in tighter as well..
They also protect the lower leg portion of your pants from getting thrashed and torn, as well as all mentioned above. I always wear mine as well, unless it is really hot and i am above treeline.
I am curious on people's opinions on the C4 15's. I already own leica ultravid 8x42 and a 65 swaro ATS. I want to try a pair of 15's out but dont want to go full in yet. I found a good deal on the C4 15's locally and wanted to hear some opinions, there doesnt seem to be a ton of reviews on...
I used to double stuff my SG lumbar pads as well, when i got the K4 i felt the lumbar pad, but it didn't feel like too much pressure to me. I think it was just the feeling of the larger lumbar contact area that i had to get used to. After 5-7 good hikes i found i didn't notice it anymore.
Tanner at Frontiersman Gear out of british columbia makes some real nice knives, he also does do some "drops" but also keeps stuff in stock as well.

I have a similar pack life path as you except toss in kifaru as well. And a couple sales and also rebuying of the above mentioned packs trying to find my perfect pack. I followed along with the K4 thread and checked it daily before it was launched and knew that i had to try one, I grabbed one...
wore this last night on a 1.5 hr hike, it was 27c, 81f. I wore this next to skin, and was comfortable, it didnt have that slippery clammy feel like i get with most synthetic base layer type shirts. To me it felt cooler to wear than the sitka core light hoody. It has a baggier fit compared to...
ive got some H4831 and H4831sc, made up a load with the SC the other day with 175 gr LRX's. I am wondering if anyone has used the regular and short cut and tested if they have similar performance, as in velocities, and accuracy? I'll test this myself on next days off but just thought i would...
Stone glacier clothing is top notch stuff, its definitely on par with sitka, kuiu etc. Good warranty if needed, and the company itself is a breeze to deal with. I enjoy the fit of their clothing, longer sleeves and long versions available in their pants as well.
Got mine the other day, seems like a nice piece. The back and side panels seem like a pretty similar material to the gila hoody, and the mesh material seems softer than the original tiburon top i had if i remember correctly. Ill be hiking in heat with it tomorrow.
