I spend more time in gators than out in the mountains hunting late season and shed hunting. There are a lot of good options however I have really good luck with Kuiu. I get several seasons of abuse out of a pair but most importantly I find they fit taller individuals and wick snow and water...
Take my sage advice for what you paid for it. I hunt SD each year with a 28” #5 and take both M and IC chokes which can be swapped depending on conditions (wind) and how the birds are flying. Save the money on a barrel and hit the trap range a few more times which is a lot more fun. Good luck...
Ross is a very kind sole that walks away in the darkness and all I see is his fading headlamp. We then soon meet up (4 hrs later) on top of the mountain for lunch and just in time for me to help pack his bull off the mountain. Any takers?
Can’t comment on CO but WY has been a lot of fun. I had success looking at lower public land areas where draw odds are higher. With the mapping software today you can quickly find the “Back 40” which can be small but mighty for holding speed goats.
It seemed like a funny idea after 3 days on the mountain together freezing our ass off. I blame it all on Ross. Believe me, we have done dumber things.
FNG from N. Idaho that can't stand to read any more of the BS from Ross... Pro Staff, are you kidding me? I'm here to fact check this weekend warrior of the N. Idaho woods!
