I guess it depends on how antsy you are about changing the stock. I thought hard about buying a Rokstok for my Ridgeline FFT but with the backlog, and how much I disliked the FFT stock's feel, I wanted a new stock, time NOW. I picked up a Bastion that they had on ready to ship. It's a huge...
Nice. I've been very interested in this riser, but with the wood. That all G10 is cool though. I'm currently using those same limbs on a carbon riser (W&W black wolf) and it's been a great combo. But that riser has peeked my interest. Looking forward to how you like the combo.
I try to go first thing in the morning to avoid all the other shooters. Especially the "older gentlemen" that have nothing better to do than go to the range, hang out half a day, talk nonsense, and ask everyone "what 'cha shootin there?" I have limited time when I go. If I drive out there and...
Using a Mach 30 this year, 28" DL, at 65lbs DW. Bow started at 71lbs but I developed an issue in my shoulder about 30 days ago, so dropping to 65 is tolerable.
Arrows are Easton 4mm Axis, 340s, AAE hybrids, Halo nocks, with 200 upfront for a TAW of 461gr. I'll be using Evolution Outdoors...
They are skittish, and also curious. And A LOT of eyes. I've been able to get in 4 stalks on the same buck before, over the course of 5-6 hours. Still didn't work out. But a hell of a lot of fun.
My first deer was with a 243, then moved up to a 30-06 for many years. Picked up a 25-06 about 15 yrs ago and still love it. A few years ago I got into a 280ai, which I really like, and a 7mm-08. I still reach for the 25-06 or 280ai the most. I recently picked up a Tikka .223 that I'm...
Got the email alert, immediately ordered. The brown truck delivered it today. Now that's fast. Of course Maven is only about 4 hrs from me. But still, that's pretty quick.
Nope, not here. But I see a lot of shooters in our store that do. I also see a lot of shooters that use a wrist strap, "try" to shoot with their hand open (because I have the strap so I don't drop it), and the second the release goes, they grab the shit out of their bow torquing it. I think...
I replaced the stock on my Ridgeline FFT 280ai with a Peak44 Bastion. For me, the factory stock was uncomfortable (trigger reach) especially prone. And it was slick (I initially solved by using grip tape). Loved the weight though. Overall, I gained around 3.5ounces.
The one that usually goes out (picture was last weekend out playing with the Molinator). I do have a T3x in .223 off getting threaded that will also get used for yotes.
Those 165 gamechangers seem interesting. I can't seem to find much in the way of real world results from them though. I have read a few times they are tougher to open than an Accubond.
Majority of my clients' deer and/or antelope get gutted because we can get them out whole. If not, they are quartered (gutless). If I can't get a vehicle to my own animals, they are quartered (gutless) and packed. I have a couple times cut cow elk in half and drug down to vehicles (when snow...
I posted this in another thread. After a lot of reading over stocks the past couple months I decided to install a Bastion on my CA Ridgeline.
