Sounds like a nice deer. I would be happy with a 185" deer.
On your 221-223 early hunt were the deer migrating through? Did you go the first half or second half of the hunt?
How did the hunt end up for you? Did you get a deer? Were you seeing lots?
Talked to Greg today. Said moisture in NV is looking good, but we won't know if the lack of Monsoon last year effects the antler growth until summer. He also said steak dinner each night! Sounds like a rough week!
I hear nothing but great things about Greg and his guides. I know it will be a grind but hopefully we can turn up some good deer.

Just found out I drew 221-223 Early tag with 4 points. Looking forward to hunting with Greg Krogh and his crew!
Anyone else get lucky in the guide draw?
Just to be sure the 54251 is the version that comes with the target knob right?
The 54250 is the same without the target knob?

I love that this got brought back from the dead.
Only new animal I have to add is Axis to try again. The axis tenderloins we had fresh were unreal.
I still don't understand how antelope and caribou get a bad rap.

If your main concern is an exit home look at the Barnes TTSX. I've shoot elk, antelope, deer, buffalo with it. No complaints. Exit hole most of the time. 99-100% weight retintion for the ones I recovered from my buffalo.
I always have larger groups with it compared to other ammo. But it get...

Yes. They aren't particularly tough animals.
You will be fine with most any caliber.
I took 3 with my 6.5 PRC last year. I wouldn't recommend the Hornady eldx. Or if you do aim for bone.

Sign me up.
It was inevitable this thread would get somewhat off track.
I started it to hear from some knife people and they chimed in. Thank you everyone.
I like the look of the knife. I haven't rushed out to grab one but wouldn't be upset if I got it as a gift. Or at a discount.

For you guys getting it less than a year how did you file?
Individual or Trust?
For me - Trust
Tax Stamp Cashed - 2/3/2020
Not really expecting anything until the end of the year.
That's a great pickup, supposedly they got released in the US this month. I haven't been able to find one.
If you go to Australia you can buy it off the shelf.
We are getting off topic. This thread is about the knife itself.
If you want to talk about Meateater or their business model start a new thread.
