Why do rifle hunters use Camouflage ? The few times I’ve used a rifle I never wore camo of any kind.. seems silly.

Waterfowl and turkey are the only time I think camo might matter. Guy and gals wear it because they want to look the part and fit in.

If you never shot over 600 yards?

25-06. I’ve got a really good one a friend built for me and I’ve been killing stuff with a quarter bore for a couple of decades now. It’s not the new hotness, but it has worked really well for me. A close second would be a 308. Boringly effective.

    .25-06 117 SST vs 115 VLD

Long time 25-06 shooter. I’ve been shooting the Berger 115 for the past few years. I shot 5 whitetails from 125 to 410 yards last year with the Berger. Only one went more than a step or two after being hit and the damage is impressive. Year before was the same plus a pronghorn. Same results. I...

    Which traditional arrows?

Started off with aluminum and I think they are by far the easiest to tune. Moved to carbon for durability and have shot a ton of gold tips, mostly blems. Currently shooting gold tip traditional classics.

    Hanging Steel Targets

T post and hangers. I’ve run 3 gun matches, precision matches and pistol matches. T posts, hangers and a slotted plate have held up better than anything.

Tikka 6.5 Creed rechambered to PRC

By the time you buy a new barrel and bolt you’ll have more in the lite than you would have in a roughtech. Have it cut down and cerakoted. If you shop around you can find a roughtech for under 1K. Or better yet buy an S20 from europtic for $999.
