    I really liked the 3 leg design. I have an exo pack and it fit perfectly. The 522 is supposed to be super light, and I only need it for sitting. We'll see how it goes.

    2013 Elk Meatpole

    How did my pack get so dang heavy???

    Food! I took 2lbs per day last weekend and was passed that i had to pack over half of it out with me. IMHO 1lb per day is plenty.

    Sell the leupolds and pick up the new Vortex razor 50mm. I used mine this weekend scouting and did not miss my 80mm or its weight one bit! Sweet scope for sure but hard to find in stock! (elk101 has 10% off right now)

    KUIU outerwear ???

    I used both on my scouting trip this weekend. Had to shed the jacket within an hour. The pants are the most comfortable i have ever worn, and very quiet. Kuiu gets even the small details right, down to the fly zipper that can go up or down when you're wearing a pack, and the belt is in the way...

    I invested in the Kuiu Guide jacket and attack pants this year, and have been using both for my scouting. Very happy so far, but i am wondering if they will be enough in the rain? Should i be looking at rain gear as well? Anyone have experience to speak from? thanks rob
