Were you using a spark arrestor? Was it plugged? I’ve seen them get clogged with creosote and create the smoke issue you speak of. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve burned my Riley and I’ve never had an issue with smoke out of the gaps you are speaking of.
I was told at both Glock and Remington armorer classes non chlorinated brake cleaner was 100% safe for any plastic parts. It’s the same thing as gun scrubber sprays that are 4x the price.
I think there is a little confusion with respect to powers “granted to the states”.
Unless it is specifically reserved for the federal government, or prohibited for the states to have the power, then everything else is reserved for the states.

I’m surprised you’re having issues with birds holding in cover tall enough to hide your dog. Usually I’ll get a point alert and then have to hunt around to find my dog and then watch the bird flush on the other side of the Hawthorne trees.
Have you removed your action screws, cleaned and decreased them, and re-torqued with Loctite? If not, that’s the very first place I would start.
Decrease, clean and reset all your bases and rings., Do that second
Shoot a group without the suppressor. Shoot a group with the suppressor. Swap...
To the original question, if it chambered I doubt anything significant would have happened. If it’s a fold in the brass I doubt your bolt would have locked.
