Riley stoves vs Four dog stoves

Were you using a spark arrestor? Was it plugged? I’ve seen them get clogged with creosote and create the smoke issue you speak of. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve burned my Riley and I’ve never had an issue with smoke out of the gaps you are speaking of.

Middle of rifle season your rifle spends all day in snow then rain

I was told at both Glock and Remington armorer classes non chlorinated brake cleaner was 100% safe for any plastic parts. It’s the same thing as gun scrubber sprays that are 4x the price.

I think there is a little confusion with respect to powers “granted to the states”. Unless it is specifically reserved for the federal government, or prohibited for the states to have the power, then everything else is reserved for the states. Laws are different in each state because the...

Wildlife violations are typically a strict liability crime, which means the state doesn’t have to prove intent in order for you to be found guilty of said violation.

Read up on the public trust doctrine. The natural resources are to be held I trust, by the government (states) to be preserved and protected for use by its citizens. It’s why the states regulate hunting, fishing, waterways, etc.

Resident status within a state can also vary by what the resident privilege is for. It’s harder to be a resident of MT or WY for tuition purposes than it is to hunt or fish. The states get to decide how do define what a resident is and for what privilege. I dont understand why some folks...

Tips for getting a steady shot in the backcountry.

I do, but I feel in the field I’d pretty well limit it to 100 yards.

Tips for getting a steady shot in the backcountry.

The price point on this is pretty close to the Quikstix setup with the pic mount and a pic rail for my rifle. Thinking I might go with the Springbok when it comes back in stock.

Aaah, that makes more sense. Are the dogs whoa trained? Might not hurt to whoa them up when they get bonkers and try to out some brakes on them as they relocate.

I’m surprised you’re having issues with birds holding in cover tall enough to hide your dog. Usually I’ll get a point alert and then have to hunt around to find my dog and then watch the bird flush on the other side of the Hawthorne trees.

I haven’t used the map on my Alpha in about 6-7 years. OnX is far easier.

What would have happened if I would have shot this round?

Yes. It’s always an option, especially at $6 per boom from a $5k rifle. To reiterate, not my money and not my time. Brow beating? LOL.

What would have happened if I would have shot this round?

Have you removed your action screws, cleaned and decreased them, and re-torqued with Loctite? If not, that’s the very first place I would start. Decrease, clean and reset all your bases and rings., Do that second Shoot a group without the suppressor. Shoot a group with the suppressor. Swap...

What would have happened if I would have shot this round?

To the original question, if it chambered I doubt anything significant would have happened. If it’s a fold in the brass I doubt your bolt would have locked.
