Drill and tap for modern rings. Keep the stock as is but probably add strap on cheek riser. Then shoot the shit out of it. Superb rifle that was made to shoot, not sit in a safe. Ol’ Jack will grin from above
Optics companies are infuriating. Simple, and repeatable is all we’re asking. No illum bs, simple mil/MOA reticles, and simple magnification ranges…If SWFA did it… c’mon. The glass doesn’t have to be world class either
My wheels are turning now. Think I may try hacking up the original tikka grip and jb weld it on along with the epoxy dough to fill in gaps and smooth out. then a fresh paint job… 🤔
I searched through the forums and found a several folks modifying their stocks and grip angles. I am curious if there’s an easy-ish way to give the rem 700 grip less trigger reach and a more vertical grip without totally hacking it up?
Pictured is Rem 700 adl mountain rifle in an old KS stock...
Dumb as a post but we love her and she hunts well enough. Only two years old and reading this thread made me feel real shitty about going through the end times.
You’re shooting 1 MOA 5 shot groups. Consistently? I’m not sure what there is to complain about. The difference in hit rate at 600 between a half MOA (all day) gun and 1 MOA gun is negligible
