    Suppressor wait times

I ordered a Scythe Ti in a Trust through Capital Armory about a month ago. With everybody posting the fast approval times, I decided to roll the dice and order a second suppressor (Omega 300) through Capital as an Individual. I had to call to have them change my profile from Trust to...

    Zip off base layers?

When I bought mine, they were available on Amazon, but it appears now you would need to order direct.

    Zip off base layers?

The Kuiu that I had rode uncomfortably low and had a loose waist band. The Northern Playground were comfortable, decent quality merino, and had good zippers. IMO, the Northern were Swaro compared to the Kuiu Vortex. Lol.

    Zip off base layers?

I had some of the first generation Kuiu zip offs and hated them - they were extremely low riders. I saw a recommendation for Northern Playground and picked some up. For me they were a far better fit... https://www.northernplayground.no/en/shop/ziplongs-r-3-4?fit=men

    Freeze Drying Adventures

I'm too lazy to make it happen, but in a couple months, a real Oregonian would use a fresh caught Springer, some fresh caught Dungeness Crabs, and fresh dug Razors for the recipe. I bought the wild caught Sockeye, Pacific Seafood shelled Crab, and canned clams from Costco. Oh well - at 7 miles...

    Freeze Drying Adventures

This is the receipt I used...the clams and crab were not part of the original receipt - I also doubled the bacon. I didn't follow the preparation exactly - I precooked the potatoes and salmon and added those along with the crab and clams to the rest of the simmered chowder.

    Freeze Drying Adventures

Just finished packing 15 Hearty Elk Chili meals. I have 3 trays of Salmon, Crab, & Clam Chowder in the freezer, and I'll add 2 trays of Costco Broiled Chicken, Bacon & Rice for my next FreezeRay batch. I'm going to need to add some more hunts to be able to eat all of this food. Lol.

    Freeze Drying Adventures

That's a great deal! I have the original, non-Pro, in large and it's worked flawlessly. I opted for the oilless pump which adds significant cost upfront, but it eventually pays for it self and reduces oil change maintenance. I also bought an extra set of trays, tray covers, and a set of...

    Trespassing? Worth shooting a snowboarder?

I thought the same thing until I put my PI hat on and started doing some internet sleuthing... I'm pretty sure I've identified the trespassing snowboarders route, the lawn chair gunslingers location, and quite possibly his name...

Oregon Spring Bear - Archery Spot and Stalk

I usually bring Sawyers Permethrin spray for gear and around the camp and picaridin lotion for my skin. The insert for your shelter might help a little, but ticks will be on your clothing and you will carry them into the shelter.

    Suppressor wait times getting faster

The reddit link above was posted on another thread. I scanned through several of the posts and some of the short wait periods are with a trust. Looks like majority of short wait periods are individual though.

    Silencerco Scythe TI review

SilencerCo lists the Scythe Ti at 7.3oz - does your Scythe Ti have carbon build up or something else?

    Grumman vs Grumman Lite?

I only have the regular - for me, I rarely hike in the jacket because it is so warm and insulating I will start to sweat. I typically only use mine when glassing or sitting in camp and if it's really cold or blowing I sometimes will need another layer.

    Suppressor wait times

Saw the Scythe Ti was in stock at Capitol Armory on Feb 16 and decided to place the order. ATF paperwork was certified today... Capitol sure made the upfront process easy. On a side note, I received an email from Capitol about a cool shooting event for anybody interested in evaluating various...

    Backstop Recoil Pad

It depends on the gun stock that you want to replace the pad on. The MDT HNT26 doesn't have many "easy" bolt on pad solutions. I'm happy with the Backstop Pad on my HNT26 - super easy to install and works well.

Mule deer what to look for?

If you are committed to October, push it until the last week and hunt the highest elevation you can. If you can adjust to November 10th or so then look for doe at any elevation. Good luck!
