Component system is usually more important than arrow (unless you buy GARBAGE arrows). I can put a crappy component on any arrow and ruin it. Especially with 4mm.
5mm are definitely easier.
If you go 4mm you are pigeon holed into proprietary stuff (Valkyrie or IronWill SynderCore). It is great stuff but not easy to find quick replacements for and most factory 4mm stuff sucks.
It depends who you ask lol. FOC is about a step away from politics for some people.
Some people swear by high FOC and some people swear by low FOC. Me personally I just pick the components I like on a shaft I like that gives me the speed I like and build it. Typically it comes out a higher FOC...
Definitely odd. I am guessing they had it, someone else licensed it, and people liked it so much the just kept paying. Really no idea.
That or Green Day is way deeper into archery than I would have expected.
@Billy Goat
Just ordered a V3 in Ambush green. My dealer did some digging for me and apparently the have to pay license fee's to someone to use that specific green.
I would not shoot an FMJ, with an arrow that long you'll have to have a super heavy arrow. Something in the 9-11 GPI range will be your friend. I honestly see zero reasons anyone would ever run an FMJ (different soap box) but long draw guys 100% should not. Put the weight up front and run a...
I have listened to those as well as Clay's podcast. Both are awesome.
Only reason I am traveling is because there are no spring bear seasons in the south. Closest is Montana or Wyoming. Just not a thing around here. I do hunt bears here in the fall though.
No boots on the ground. Was planning...
Thanks for the additional responses everyone. It is much appreciated.
I will give it a week off without any workouts or shooting and then start to reintroduce stabilization work. Fortunately for me my younger sister just had a torn labrum repaired so I will steal her PT exercise papers. I have...
Thanks for both of your responses.
I guess I went and proved that I am both young and dumb. I went ahead and shot 3D last night. I tested with a #30 recurve and it felt fine. Flung a few with my compound and it did not go bad on me. No pain just a little sore this morning. Joint is definitely...
I have always been a knee problem guy and do not know much of anything about shoulders.
Popped my shoulder last night during jiu jitsu. Kind of instance where you're braced with the arm and your body moves forward but arm doesnt. Similar to if you fell forward, caught yourself, and popped...
I am having a backup for this coming season. I drive 22 hours for elk and its not worth it to only have one. I also spent 2 weeks of the whitetail rut without a bow due to a cut string. Not doing that again.
Black 5 and a V3 for 2021. Both have same Hamskea, different SpotHogg sights, share a...
Have Black series limbs for sale. They’re Black in color and are in awesome shape. Pulled right at 70lbs. Came with the bow and were swapped for 80s
150TYD or trade for 65s
I have had 7 knee surgeries between both knees (all done before I was 21, am 24 now). I am very active. Workout daily, bjj, kickboxing, and lots of hiking/rucks with heavy packs.
Biggest things for me is dedicated stretching of quads, hamstring/calves, and IT bands. Isolated exercises (single...
Finally got my Black 5 to bareshaft (80lbs) and am loving it over my Centergy. Have a V3 on order as well. Really impressed with how different that bow felt than the VXR.
