CA Traverse
Looks like I have finally sold my 300 RUM. I purchased a CA Traverse today. Trying to decide if I want to keep my Nightforce NXS on it or find a lighter scope. My personal longest shot would be 500-600 yards. Not really sure if I need a scope as heavy as the NXS or look for a lighter scope... -
Meindl vs the cabelas meindl
I got my Perfekt boots back in 2009 and love them, they are still going strong. I was sad when I heard cabelas no longer are going to carry them. Since Bass Pro took over they have sadly went down hill, wished we had other options here in Boise. -

280 AI Retumbo
When I had my 280AI, I used retumbo and 168gr long range accubonds. Could get quarter sized groups at 100 yards. -

Idaho Super Tag Drawn!
one of the biggest speedgoat bucks I've seen was in unit 38 in the most unlikely spot and its open for hunting....I drew a unit 40 antelope tag good luck. -
Favorite .300 RUM loads
Wow, I'm running a 30" barrel with a 1-8 twist, using 91.5gr of N570 and only getting 3180fps with 215 berger's. -

Kruder, you will have fun during that hunt. Probably the most fun I've ever had hunting. I saw tons of nice bucks....didn't fill my tag but that was by my choice as I holding out for a monster. -

Am still dialing my load. With 215 berger's over 92gr N570 I was pushing 3200fps, which I think is a tad warm. Got the labradar loaded up and heading out in the morning. Got some 90gr, 90.5gr, 91gr and 91.5gr. All using 215m primers and Norma brass, am breaking in some bertram brass that I... -
