    Stocky’s Hunter VG Tikka stock

Well if this is where the first 100 are being counted, put me down for one. The only problem is I'm going to be tempted to order two when the time comes.

    First ROK Stock Poll

I'm beginning to be swayed towards 'B' looking at how clean the lines could be with a recessed/flush rail. I agree that going with arca should snag less and be a good way to future proof the stock.

    Red head lamp

Petzl Tactikka. The red light is bright enough to hike at night by it. I usually run alkaline batteries in it unless it's going to be cold and then I use lithium. I recently got the Petzl Core rechargeable battery for it so I'll be trying that on my next trip.

Preferred mount for SWFA 6x42 on AR-15

That's interesting, Justin, I may have to try a 1.93" mount to experience that sometime. I have always chosen the lowest scope mounting option that clears the objective bell with the goal of keeping the height over bore to a minimum and having a good cheek weld, but like you are saying, that...

    OnX offline map question

Yes, high resolution makes a big difference for in the field navigation through thick areas. I used high res maps this summer for bear hunting in a new area. The detail that is only visible with high res allowed me to find the best routes while cutting across scree fields and avoiding thick...

DIY Dual Spotting scope and Bino Setup.

I always enjoy seeing DIY projects like this. What was the inspiration for it? Consolidating from two tripods down to one? Switching between glass for different fields of view without losing track of an animal?

    SWFA 3-9 alternative

Kyle, if I was in your shoes and couldn't buy the SWFA I wanted I'd be looking at Trijicon, Nightforce or S&B as you mentioned. I don't know if you can source any of these easier than the ones you've mentioned. Trijicon Trijicon Tenmile® 3-18x44 w/ MRAD precision tree reticle, FOV 35.3 ft at...

Selling red dot sight through mail

USPS is more concerned about the battery in the red dot than the optic itself. Just leave the battery in the optic and dont include any extra batteries: https://pe.usps.com/text/pub52/pub52apxc_032.htm#:~:text=Domestic%20%E2%80%94%20Lithium%2Dion%20Cells%20and,8%20cells%20or%202%20batteries...

Garmin Inreach, Inreach Explorer or other?

I don't feel a need for the 67i since I use my phone with onX and I have an inreach mini 2 for lower battery drain tracking/waypoints, satellite communications and SOS. My approach for downloading offline maps in onX is that I have my entire state downloaded in 6 low resolution maps and then I...
