40/70lb
Shoot that bow everyday and before you know it 70lbs won't feel tough at all.
Recently began shooting traditional. 50lbs recurve was kicking my butt. Been shooting everyday and it's already getting better.
I'd say both! A nice beater rifle in caliber that can do most is very nice to have around. It's also nice to have guns that fits nicely into more specific situations. Nothing says freedom like a safe full of beautiful rifles/guns...😜
I had plans to hunt Idaho with a friend and a few of his hometown friends. They all bailed for one excuse or another and I decided to go solo. Being in the mountains solo is awesome! Ended up doing it a few years since. Would be cool to go with someone else though as long as they have similar...
Savage 110 runs about 7.5 lbs in 30-06 with scope. I bet the 308 version may be lighter??? Plenty of rifle for any critter IMO. Mine shoots sub MOA out of the box. Bullets touch at 100 yards with a rest easily.
I'm interested in a pack or two. Would like as many non split bones as possible to make simple knife handles. My dog will chew on the rest. Let me know what you think about picking through some of them for knife handles. That top bones look about perfect. The last ones you sent were awesome btw.
I have a brand new in box G5 Quest Forge bow I would like to sell. I will also include all the G5 accessories that came with the Ready To hunt Package but they are used (Sight and Stab). This bow is brand new and never pulled or set up and was sent to me from G5 because of a warranty I had on...
Love my Mora. I can get it shaving sharp in about the time it takes to say havalon. I've used Bucks in the past and liked them too. Something about a $20 blade that can get me through quartering a whitetail without needing to be sharpened...
Recently started a fun project of making some antler...
Morakniv companion. 5.1oz with sheath. Less than $20 knife that I can sharpen to razor sharp in 30 seconds... I prefer the high carbon steel but it comes in stainless as well. I just made the switch to these knives myself and couldn't be happier.
I love my ultralight x stand! It's 12 pounds. I carry that thing everywhere! They also make a traditional climber that's aluminum and 15 or so pounds. The traditional looks to have the edge on comfort.
My usual policy is to only buy guns and never sell them :) BUT I've been thinking the same thing with a few of my pistols as of late.
As for your question I'd go to the 308 you mentioned. My one rifle answer is usual 30-06 or 308 for most hunting. I'm guessing there are some long range (or...
I thought 10mm was a long 40? Isn't 10mm case length 25mm and 40 is 22mm? I've heard people shooting 40s out of a Glock 20 but doubt the opposite would work? What am I missing?
I love my X stand ultralite climber it's 12 pounds and I can drag it way back. They also have a "traditional" Aluminum climber that I think weighs 15 or so pounds. Both can be had for around $150. I think if it was my first climber I'd go with the Aluminum traditional climber as it's easier to...
I bought a house with 3 whopping acres during the great recession too. Who cares. They just did it at scale. Just because many people took out mortgages they couldn't pay back and crashed the housing market doesn't mean the rich will stop buying land? It seems to me that everyone buying above...
