G26, G19, G43x are primaries depending on day. G26 saved my hide once and seems my favorite.
The 19 is such a good shooter. Also you can get the regular 19 and run G17 mags. I do this with G26 for back up mag.
The thought of the feds taking over control of state resources is outright dangerous. The MFers running the show now would rather have wolves than anyone with a freezer full of meat.
I do agree that hunting is becoming a rich man's sport but that is only for people who want a certain scoring...
Unless you are not going to shoot an animal it doesn't bother the herd what buck you shoot. Unless we start talking about killing does. Shooting the little ones just leaves the bruisers for the trophy hunters. It's a bit hard keeping up with the Jones on a site like Rokslide filled with legit...
It's pretty easy to render fat from deer. When I make bone broth I throw all pieces of fat into the pressure cookers along with the bones and bits. After the broth has cooked let it cool outside until cold and you'll have a solid hunk of rendered deer fat on top of broth. I clean it after...
I've heard people saying their M&P 10s jam. In our hunting group a few M&Ps have had jams. I always thought the Glocks are a more reliable proven design than the M&Ps IMO. You may have better perspective being a gun store owner. Small sample size vs large sample size.
I love my Glock 26. Saved my ass when I needed it most. I've got most of the Glock 9mms and shoot them well. I carried the 26/19 out west first few archery hunts. Felt underarmed for a flatlander solo hunting. Carried a G20 last time I went. Going from the 26 to the 20 is awesome from a shooting...
Savage 110 would be a really nice shooter. I'v killed a pile of deer with a Savage 111 in 30-06. Out of the box with factory ammo bullets touch at 100 yards. Deer usually die on the spot.
I love my Savage 111 in 30-06. It's killed a pile of deer. Touching bullets at 100 yards with off shelf ammo. That's next level taking 2 lbs off that platform!
I had a limb crack on my bow a week before opener this year. Pulled out the old Mathews LX and had it running for first few weeks of season. Killed a decent buck with it.
