    What was your bag rated to? Do you sleep in full base layer including hat, gloves, socks? I have endured blistering cold nights on uninsulated pads. I am almost 50. Im done being hard core. I want comfort.

    I didnt see anyone else say it so I will. The GI poncho, and even moreso the liner aka woobie, suck. I suffered with the mandatory use of those for years. They are garbage. Not warm. Heavy. Useless. Almost anything on the market is better, lighter, warmer, packs smaller.

    Velocity is of far greater importance. As for optics... my favorite scope is a Bushnell Engage 2.5-10x44. It weighs 18 ounces, is sfp, and is clear as a bell. I paid 180 for it on a deal. Ive tried to like other scopes for the hunting role but I have returned about 9 now.

    I do. I also should have said earlier that my Cross did NOT shoot right for a while. I had to figure out that the muzzle device was causing me issues. I have not experienced the same issue with my 3 friends that bought one.
