another vote for northface basecamp duffle's over here.
i got mine as a gift, but i'd probably buy one if I had to after using it for things from basecamp hunting to general travel.
499 on sale at cabelas now.
Cabela's Online Store - Quality Hunting, Fishing, Camping and Outdoor Gear
I have one on the way, from my research they fall in between the razor and viper lines. Best part is, same ol vortex warranty, so even when Cabelas is bass pro shops, or gone, you'll still be...
I love my 3500, my hunting partner got the 5500, and when compressed, i can tell almost no difference between our two bags..with that said, makes me wish i would have gotten the 5500 from the get go, oh well live and learn.
beyond that, i've had the 'pleasure' of packing an elk out with one and...
hunting partner saw one in snoqualmie that was technically "south" of i90 :D
in all seriousness, i wouldn't doubt that they're in SW wa. WDFW denied them even being in western wa whatsoever then one got hit along i90 in northbend..soo there's that.
i saw this at my local hardware store yesterday and couldn't believe it.
if you need something insulated, just use a dang cooler, not a bucket.
but hey, if you make it, and people buy it.. more power to em
I do a lot of backpacking along with back pack hunting.
When i got my exo pack, I was SO close to selling my osprey backpacking backpack to lighten up the gear closet.
Then it hit me...I do a lot of international backpack trips (patagonia, peru, etc), always going the carry on route, and did NOT...
just got back from archery elk...the area was THICK with song dogs.
going to go back out with the .243 after the rifle season over there and through the summer scouting time and double up on scouting and coyote hunting.
with that..looking to get my first caller.
What do all of you experts...
Looking for a scope for my new coyote gun.
24 inch heavy barrel .243..
looking to keep it under 450 ish...
a couple of different options i've been looking at in that range are the nikon monarch 3 with a kenton turret, vx3i with CDS ( i have a vx3 3.5-10 CDS on my tikka that I have been super...
I like mine just as much if not more as the havalons ive used (it was free so that might also be why)
the button to remove the blades is easy peasy too, coupled with a little fixed blade its a good combo.
I've got a few different sizes of the northface base camp bags that I've been happy with.
If you know anyone who has a promotive/experticity log in you can get them for 40-50% off
one of the simplest things that has made days so much better is a sit pad.
you can use it while glassing, or just sitting under a tree.
beats the hell out of sitting on wet or damp or rocky ground for hours on end.
something to be left behind...extra clothes.
i always pack too much clothes.. if...
dang that's rough man.. sorry to hear.
i had shoulder surgery when i was in highschool before i bow hunted, and the one piece of advice i can give you is to stay very diligent with whatever PT they give you, and don't rush back into anything.
re injuring before fully healed is bad news.
my 15 year old igloo cooler holds ice juuuuuuuuuuust fine.
the ONLY reason I could ever see myself buying a rotomolded cooler (knock off yeti most likely) would be to use on a fishing boat so that it could double as a bench seat and the lid wouldn't warp as easily.
So jealous!
Good luck with the tag!! I just put in for points this year, just bought a house, a puppy, and spending a week in Alaska fishing so I knew I wouldn't have the time I usually have to dedicate to scouting. Chasing cows with the bow it is!
Picking up a new lab puppy early July...We are flying to denver this weekend for a wedding, so I figured perfect time for some light reading on the plane. So naturally I turn to rokslide for the expert opinions.
Recommend me a good basic new puppy training book that I can get on Amazon and have...
30-06 here. some of factory ammunition has some pretty impressive ballistics now.
t3 superlite 06, vx3 3.5-10...affordable, accurate, and versatile set up. i'm happy with it.
like the above poster said..only reason not to get a 06 is to be different.
I know there are lots of Big Agnes lovers on here. but i love my hubba hubba nx. vertical walls, tons of room, 2 vestibules.
Mine's kept my dry through many a utah summer rain storms.
299 is a pretty good price. also has the "fast and light" option to run just a ground cloth and fly if you're...
