In practice, sometimes it is harder to find a good, flat, not water collecting spot. My usual thought now is, if I find a good spot, i make camp. I've had a few occasions where I kept looking for a "better spot" only to waste hours...
Looking to "upgrade" my 4 ish year old vortex diamondbacks.
The diamondbacks will turn into truck/spare binos but i *think* i've almost settled on these two binos for the 400 ish and under range.

Most of my stuff just stays in my normal totes under the bed. I hunt mainly in solids that get used for offseason backpacking, snow shoeing, hiking, etc. so i just keep them handy.
vx3 3.5-10 cds on my 06. dials out to 500 easily with solid glass for the money...i did get mine on close out for around 300 right before the vx3i came out.
