I have loaded the accubond, accubond LR and partition in 150gr for my .270 model 70. It liked the accubond LR the best. But once I found the right powder all 3 shot well. I landed on the accubond 150s.
Just bought some of the 150 wides to try out with bears in mind. If it flies well, I will keep 1 in my quiver for closer shots on elk and deer too. I am hoping for blood trails like mechanicals with the reliability and penetration of a fixed.
I have tried a similar set up with the sidearm on my pant belt with a bladetech adapter to get it away from the belt on my pack. I did not care for it. The sidearm not being up on my belt line and feeling it on my thigh as I walked felt awkward. Drawing was also a little awkward. I practiced...
I had a mag harness from badlands, thing had more magnets than I could count. I did notice it effect OnX, but only on downloaded maps when offline.
Where I saw it was turning on the cone to see the direction of view. When offline the cone would point in a direction I knew I was not facing...
This was my first year shooting the CBC. I finished today with 3/5 hits, but even my hits were marginal. It started out fun even with a 1st shot miss… I wanted to throw my bow after my last shot today.
I shot it with fixed BHs and got some new Sevrs this year. For some dumb reason I am...

I talked with my uncle about the arrows and the couple of suggestions here are correct, they are Bear shafts from the 70s. Wish I knew what spine they are.
My uncle gave me this Bear Recurve. Super Magnum 48 with Fascor. It was bought from Fred Bear in the 70s, but I don’t know anything about it or recurves. Excited to try it out but any information or advice is greatly appreciated.
He also gave me the aluminum arrows in the pictures. They...
For me, tuning through paper is only a starting point. After I paper tune I shoot bareshafts and fletched until they hit together. Then shoot field points and broad heads until they hit together. Also, some bows need to be nock high to get field points to hit with broad heads. If it was me...
The picture of the hole in the shoulder blade that I posted was from shooting at a live elk, not a postmortem shot in the backyard. It was very close to a broadside shot, slightly quartering toward me and he was moving slowly.
