We field quite a few inquires on folks with Alaknak Tents wanting to run these stoves. We think they're GREAT, but we may be partial.
Feel free to reach out with any questions!
I would look into the 12x14 or 14x16 size. We often recommend chalking or staking these sizes our your driveway or lawn to get an actual feel for what the space is like -- what may be comfortable for some may not work for others.
Best of luck in your quest and feel free to reach out with any...
There are a ton of options out there, but to get you started, here are a few that we would recommend for 8x10 tents:
Wilderness Stove - 12 gauge heavy stove.
Kni-Co Stoves - 22 gauge lightweight stoves.
Riley Stoves - 18-22 gauge lightweight stoves.
As always, if you have any specific...
I'm not sure of your weight or length restrictions, but the Montana Canvas Spike Tent may be something to look into.
The specs on the 12x12 are as follows:
- Spike III Relite – Tent is 26 lbs, Fly is 11 lbs, Tent and Fly frame is 18 lbs. Complete package with stakes is 86 lbs.
You could...
We look at the fire treatment as inexpensive insurance policy - you don't need it until you need it! The initial cost is higher, but over the life of the tent it is negligible.
The fire treatment will disallow the spread of an open flame, whereas a non-fire treated canvas can allow this flame...
Having sold some Polyester/Cotton blend tents in our Montana line, here is what we have experienced/learned with that material.
Due to the addition of a synthetic material, the canvas does not seal up as well as a 100% cotton canvas will. This can cause issues along the seams as the needle...
Here's what I can tell you about Army Duck Cotton Canvas - used by all of the top tent manufacturers.
Army Duck is highly water repellent, but at the same time very breathable. Moisture that would typically build up a synthetic tent will pass freely through the fibers, resulting in a...

I see! Something I have had customers with plywood floors use before is an anti-skid additive in their paint, should you want to paint both sides. I actually used this additive on the stairs to my basement to keep the lil one from slipping.
I am glad to hear you like your tent! Let us know...
