    None at all! The UM ammo is shooting 290 fps faster than factory 168 gr loads. I'm so impressed, I've put off my 7 PRC build.

    Copper bullets like velocity. So going a little lighter with a good amount of powder helps. 280ai with 140gr or 270 with 130gr or 30-06 with 150gr or less.

    Look into hand loading and powder choice when going with a short barrel. Factory ammo in my 19'' 280ai with 168gr goes ~2620 fps MV. Handloads in my 19'' 280ai with 168gr and IMR 7828 SSC ~2940 fps MV. Consistent sub MOA groups, and no signs of pressure.

    I've done this. The acra clamp doesn't hold the recoil. Also, you need a leveling plate to get the rifle level.

    I just got back from Africa, and used a 24'' barrel 270 Win with 145gr ELDX Precision Hunter ammo for plains game. In two weeks of hunting I was able to gather alot of data. It would take about 7 years worth of hunting out west for the same sample size. I will never be buying ELDX ammo again...
