Oooofff, I'm sorry to hear. Suicide is a sad and tough deal- I've certainly dealt with it in my life and it's rough. Regarding social media- I agree wholeheartedly. There are some positives with social media, but the other 98% is just garbage and yuck.

No chance. I enjoy the hunt. That would totally wreck the hunt for me. I'd feel too much pressure to win the bet. Plus I only bowhunt, which would make it tougher...
Jason Snyder's response is the right answer! Keep moving until you find them! Hunt fast and cover ground until you see elk or fresh sign. Then, slow down!
My group has hunted a wallow many times where the thing is completely unhuntable until the thermals take control, sometime late in the AM. It's good from that time (usually around 10 AM) until the thermals swap around in the evening- anywhere from 5-7 PM usually. Or, until a storm comes...

Yep, thanks guys. I forgot to mention an important detail- we are going to do our best to acclimate slowly. First night will only get us to about 5K. The second night we're hoping to be around 8K or so. Maybe 10K after that. I don't want to move camp multiple times, but we'll have plenty...
