Measure your waistline right across the top of your hip bones. The medium belt fits 34-36” and the general rule is if you’re between sizes, go with a smaller belt size.

Two things help me sleep warmer now. And maybe I'm just a sweaty sleeper, but 1) Every morning open up your bag and turn it inside out to dry. I also noticed my cot and pad were damp from condensation or sweat. so I prop up my mat to let them both dry as well. Makes a huge difference in cold...
Good info. I live in Ut where the temps are often in the 80s and sometimes 90s all through archery elk season. I would like to age my harvest but don't think my garage is ever cool enough to let me do it and don't want to think what my wife would say if I hung it in the basement next to the pool...
Won’t take a frontal shot. Seen lots of videos, read lots of posts and butchered lots of elk to know where everything lines up, but still won’t take one. Lickly every time I’ve passed on a frontal shot another angle presents itself. I know someday I won’t be so lucky and I’ll start rethinking...
Lots of good input. I'll throw some ideas of my own...
#4- Truck camp good. Be ready to move if needed. Kodiak tent is a must for big western mountain weather. Good cot and 0 degree bag + Big Buddy heater will make life great. You'll go be out of camp pre-dawn, go hard all day get back after...
Good discussion. Bringing the buddy factor in (not what is your longest shot) has made for some interesting conversations I've had with my hunting circle. A lot of it was around commitment not to put a friend in a position where they may question a choice and your willing to take input on shot...
Amazon it a hotel close to where you'll be in two days. I've done this twice and both times the Mgr was awesome to hold it for me. Had to make a quick trip out of the mountains for one item because it was delayed but worth the price vs wait.
I've wanted to put little double sided carabineers on my tethers to quickly swap out my binos for different hunts. I've got custom p-cord loops on each of my binos and want something small and sturdy click them on and off.
What is your distance limit you would let a buddy shoot before saying something?
Lets just say your hunting buddy has a big gun and you've seen him hit a gongs out better than 800 yards. You've got a great elk a long poke out there and he wants to take it. Do you have a hard limit before you...
