I've been going back and forth between soley using a rokstock or adding a rifle in an XLR I haven't built out yet (may sell it), bumping this again for some more opinions.
Haven't the replies but here's my $.02 based on your first post and the gear list.
1) Do you need the pack lid? I almost never use mine (k3 3200), but if you need the space you need the space
2) Forget the gopro unless you are already familiar with it. As someone who is pretty familiar with...
Tang saftey M77 in 243 with a redfield wide field scope and the stock shortened. Still trying to figure out how to put that rifle back into the rotation.
Don’t have one but went through this as I tried to decide on a chassis. The weight difference in the atom and the element is so negligible I decided to get the element just for a bit more flexibility. Even though they are very light, a chassis is not going to be the lightest option so you may as...
for an UL rifle, unless you have a specific need for a large caliber, I think something like 6mm arc, 223, 22arc, etc is probably perfect. Great ballistics out to as much range as anyone has business shooting a super light rifle, and won't beat you to death. Counterpoint is the UL brush gun for...
I think there are a few sub 5lb scoped kimbers out there on the forum. I have a howa mini scoped with a supressor at 5.7lbs. You definitely loose some capability once you get below 6-7lbs (not including a supressor). A reliable scope is going to be close to a pound by itself.
Use the search...
Shorten the barrels a few inches while you’re at it. I could totally see them just making a “supressor ready” line with 16-20” threaded barrels and charging 50-100$ more for them. Would be perfect
Unfortunately when tikka makes a barrel/caliber that is what the market wants, they also put it in a *painted* tupperwear stock and charge double for it.
Anyone with a T1x care to enlighten me on scope mount options? Does it have the same rail and taps that the t3x has or does it require different mounts? Any options on a pic rail and rings vs integrated mounts? I typically prefer integrated mounts/rings when possible.
Im no expert, but I expect you would just pay the flat rate for every line. There are no discounts at all as far as i am aware, just 25$ a line (if you pay annually)
While we are on saving money, hit me up if you want a referral. Both parties get $20.
I have not run into the roaming issue whatsoever in the US. Most years I make probably 10+ trips outside a 100 mile radius of my home and haven’t had any issues with coverages.
That being said I have never tried to use my service outside of the country so I can’t speak to that.
