    TRT

I linked the lab and the protocol. All labs are at home + a 30 minute coaching call. I’ve only started this process a few months ago but so far my experience is good. https://equi.life/products/heavy-metal-detox https://equi.life/products/hair-tissue-mineral-analysis-test

    TRT

Mostly want to move this post up because I strongly agree with it. I want to add that even a healthy lifestyle may not immediately fix everything - it can take months to reverse things. My free t was low and the hormone doctors just tried to get me on trt asap. I didn’t go that route, ended...

    Unique opportunity in the Midwest

If you have access to private in Nebraska, you could have some solid hunting. I don’t think our nr archery tags are a draw(better check me on that), they’re just capped at 3,000. Muzzleloader capped at 1,000. Both aren’t good for mule deer in the mdca units. As long as you get one right when...

    Fitness equipment

If your doing physical labor over training is very easy to do. I’m an electrician so I only strength train 2 days a week. Dumbells are a really nice start, I used them for about 4 years slowly accumulating weights. I finally upgraded to a squat rack and barbells this summer.

    Fitness equipment

@*zap* is right on - Fitness advice might vary more than hunting advice, but studies have proven strength is king going in to your 60’s. You can cycle between strength and endurance training throughout the year depending on your goals. Check out https://www.mindpumpmedia.com/ for workout...

Sold Sitka Fanatic Bibs - Medium

I would be interested but there are about 4 Amazon packages showing up at my house for Christmas every day. I’m pretty sure I don’t have any money left. 😂

    Fitness equipment

This is great advice. Weight training is going to be superior to anything you can do on cardio equipment and will do more for losing weight, fixing back problems etc.

Lakes in CO to hike into to fish

I took my kids to our favorite spot they week after July 4th this year and there was still ice on many of the lakes. All the passes in that area were still snowed shut. May-June is pretty early for alpine fishing… If you Google it there’s a ton of information, you just have to decide what area...

Muzzleloader impact on CO Archery seasons

My hunting partner and I picked up some second choice mz cow tags a few years ago. It was really busy…mz elk and deer. Archery elk and deer. Early rifle deer. Hikers. We had no problem finding elk at the beginning of the week. The end was pretty quiet though. @cnelk is spot on - we mostly...

Best athletic fit hunting pant for slim people?

I just buy them used on Ebay. I've never paid more than $35 for a pair. I run cold too. I just use puffy pants a lot... I think the sizing depends on the color. I have 3 pairs, all in 32x32. The gray and green fit similar and a tan pair is a little baggier than the other 2. My wife has a...

Best athletic fit hunting pant for slim people?

I’m pretty slim and I really like Prana stretch Zion - everyone seems to hate the new version, so I’d avoid the Zion 2.

Colorado Sells More Nonresident Elk Tags than all Seven Western States Combined

I'm always skeptical of the OTC with caps. It wasn't that long ago that Idaho residents were buying leftover NR tags and now the Idaho tag sale date is a complete fiasco. Hopefully the draw process lands somewhere in the middle of OTC for everyone and limited tags for everyone...

Hip Flexors- evidently a weak link for me

If you do a lot of running I bet it could be related to your core. The mind pump podcast has changed how I work out, they are total Gym bros but their advice has really changed fitness for myself- they have an AI site that gives basic answers to questions and then cites podcast episodes that...

Thinking of a new sleeping bag

I was holding out for a WM bag but ended up buying a stone glacier 15 degree off the classifieds here. That’s another great bag you could consider.

Total pack weight for 10 days.

@thatguy You’ll get so many different opinions in here. None are wrong, you just have to go for it and see what works for you. I just plain run cold and have to make sure I bring enough layers to keep me warm. Hell, even in September I’ll wear puffy pants glassing. Being cold sucks and if...

Total pack weight for 10 days.

I’m usually around 60# going in on cold weather hunts. I think you’ll be good. Once you get camp set up that 30# pack feels pretty darn good though.

    Help with reducing food weight

If you get down to 1.5lbs/day that only saves you 3.7 pounds…I’d just go with what you have, and adjust accordingly for next time.
