I feel the same way Ryan, I have already spent a LOT of money at HMG over the years based on AKtroutbum's recommendation!!!
All of it well spent though!!

This is exactly right!!
They have learned the same lesson that the frigging federal gov. learned long ago : They have to be insidious in order to be effective!!!!
I have decided , after 67 years of observation, that change is VERY RARELY for the good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I killed a lot of ptarmigan and quite a few grouse( spruce hens) in my well spent youth with a wrist rocket and marbles!! maybe it was the
marbles that did the trick!!??

Pretty cool looking gun,
especially for folks that are limited by the types of weapons that are permitted for hunting. Would make a good ptarmigan getter.
Although a sling shot works good for that!!
A revolver is ALL I hunt with. The last sheep I got was approx. 25 yards away. So quiet is important.
I always carry my holster under a vest, usually a nylon or a leather bandolier type.
I don't personally use kydex for carrying my large revolvers. I experimented with one of the Kenai...
Look at the Garrett holsters. Expensive, but worth it!!
They are the only kydex that I would use for any hunting. They are leather lined, and it is amazing the difference that makes!!. They have a huge number of mounting choices.

The harness is several years old and still in great shape. I added the padded strap option last year and is for sure worth the

I am 66yrs now, and I plan to be sheep and bear hunting till at least 85yrs!!
Otherwise, what is the point of living!!!
Bob
Also I have to ad, I have bad knees also!!
3 surgeries on left knee, 1 on right. Severed ACL, they took the middle 1/3 of my knee cap and grafted it back together.
I always put lightweight knee braces on whenever I leave camp!! The best I have ever found for all day hunting and packing are the...
Yes I can say that that this includes mountainous terrain. Guiding spring glacier bear and brown bear hunters. Our area is in Yakutat, goes from sea level to 19000ft (St. Elias), so I would consider it mountainous!! Always used pacs, they work great for snowshoes also. (Sherpas)

I have used Pac style boots for decades. I used to use L.L. Bean boots that I always had them put Vibram soles on instead of the useless "chain tread" type soles. They don't make them like that anymore since they became a " gorpeater" store!!
I have Schnees and Hoffman now. The Hoffmans have...
