I imagine from your desc that you have either Speer or Hornady swagged lead bullets?
They are actually lubed with a dry type lube from the factory.
You should be able to load them to 1000 FPS or so without leading in your Redhawk.
I cast my lead bullets and either lube them or powder coat them...
If you used the medium outdoorsman instead of the compact, it is the same weight as the compact with the extension, although 1 1/2” shorter
and would save big bucks and be more stable without the extender post .
I also prefer the lever locks on the Outdoorsman

Yes, you are so right on the pressure !! The frigging Feds have locked up such a high percentage of sheep areas that it forces us into very small sections of habitat!!
The folks that came up with the idea for the Wrangell -St. Elias Park should have been hung!!
The Lake George ( Chugach) area has some extremely rugged terrain and you can observe the separation of the goats and sheep there!! That is the difference that I am talking about.
I killed my biggest billy on the foothills to St. Elias ( 18,000ft+) My buddies billy was a little higher up the drainage. We had to leave it overnight and next morning it was frozen solid!!
In SE AK the devils club is usually the first gauntlet you have to pass on your way up the yellow brick...
Goat hunting is finally getting the respect that it deserves. It is by far the most dangerous hunting in Alaska . Mostly due to terrain and to some extent , the weather. Goats generally inhabit more treacherous terrain and generally coastal areas that are exposed to more rain, ice and wind...
Hi Vern!!
Thanks so much!!
Yes , I haven't decided exactly where , but basically across the road. I plan on doing a few scouting pack trips
starting this spring, combined with some grizzly hunting.
I am 68 and will be doing a walk in sheep hunt this fall with a good friend of mine. It basically is out my back door, but still 10 to 15 miles plus one way in. I plan to be mountain hunting for as long as I can crawl!!
This years hunt is especially important to me. My beloved wife's illness...

This bag is mounted on the frame, but has never been used or packed.
I have not been able to find the plastic inserts that came in the pockets.
I took them out when I got the bag.
I bought this bag when they first came out a couple of years ago?
It is Ranger Green
Note: This is for the Fulcrum...
