WTB WTB - Leupold Backcountry Cross-Slot Rings, 1in High, Matte Black 175118
Yeah the older style is superior to the newer ones imo, more refined, a full lug cross bolt and the side lock nut. I actually like them better than the mk4 rings.- Xycod

Which Nightforce Scope?
NX8 imo, they’ve become maybe my fav overall scopes and that’s saying something. They seem to check more boxes than most scopes and just work. Great size as well which is one of those boxes. -

Steiner Predator 4, Zeiss Conquest 4 or Nightforce SHV for Tikka T3x Lite 7mm Rem Mag?
P4 has better overall glass than the Zeiss or shv imo, a hell of a lot bigger fov and better eyebox as well, it’s strictly a hunting scope though, not a dialer and I haven’t put enough rounds down rage to know the durability. Nf and the Zeiss both check the durability boxes and have good glass... -

Why do old Leupold scopes go for so much?

It’s all I buy most of the time, you’ll save $100’s to even over a $1000 sometimes over the marked up prices of new. Anything worth having has the warranty to back up any possibly issues.
