This is pretty much my pack also. But I have no beacon but a GPS and paper map. And If its below freezing I carry water bottles instead of a bladder.

Taking away states rights to use hunting as a management tool... If a tribe wants to reintroduce bears and doesn't want to allow hunting on a reservation, that's cool. But in the entire lower 48. Dumb dumb dumb.

Merino is awesome stuff and a cold creek wipe down does help me sleep better. My sleeping bag thanks me also.

Me personally, it's cheaper for me to hunt elk for a week or two our of state than find private lease here in TX where I can bring my fam. I hunt some public here to put some does in the freezer, but not near as fun as chasing bugles.
Never had an issue getting into bulls on CO or NM public...
After the first draw. There is then the left-over draw for those that were unsuccessful in the 1st round, and elected to be notified of the left-over draw. Then in August all tags that have not been paid for or returned will go on sale. It's a mad house:)
