Can still buy AO tags in cali and archery hunt ANY D-zone.,. Some of them are open thru November. You can basically hunt different zones from Aug-Nov with a bow
Ok yeah that makes sense.. Maybe I’m just partial to the design of My old 22mag with the pouch all the way down to bottom,, but I can also see how the higher bladder would make more “bottom” space in the pack for big bulky things (like ur sleeping bag)
I really want to buy a slick 0* but based on what people say about the pack size,,and looking at the weight ., I feel like it would end up being a truck bag...
Well that’s interesting ,,, becuz both mine and my friends 44mag had a super
Short water bladder pouch that started higher than the middle of the bag.,, a standard 3 liter would not fit.. and either way the placement just seemed like it was asking to make the bag top heavy if you were packing...
Yeah I watched my friend have to stop every time he wanted a drink becuz that quick disconnect had popped out and
Needed to be fixed... that pouch on the 44 is too short.. I still bet that short wide pouch sticks up out the top of it
Haha as Bubble said... so far my Sissy Stix have pretty much fallen apart multiple times... but their customer service has been epic.. they’ve sent me multiple parts and even new stix very quickly..
even their “poster boy” Ryan Lampers word for word says the baskets are trash he swaps them out...
Most good 15* bags are much lighter and pack down a lot smaller than 0* bags,,, if ur packin in any distance they are nice,,, tho you
May just wana spend the top $$$ and get a light weight 0* bag if you plan on hunting colder then 30 degree temps. Like mentioned above you can always open it...
Wow always shocked at how much love slick tricks get.. Iv shot them quite a bit at home/targets and they do fly better than most fixed blades Iv tried..Just not a fan of how they piece together.
Iv killed a buck with the G5 Dead Meat and they are great heads minus the fact that they make noise...
I’m pretty curious in the difference of these frames too,, 2 oz shouldn’t really earn the name “Ultralight” IMO but I guess they Gota
Name it something haha .. “flexLight” ??
Iv swapped my Lathrop into a handful of different boots, from Hanwag Makra to Crispi Lapponia to Salomon 4D GTX and they have made all the boots much more comfortable than the factory insert. My average hike is ~10 miles all off trail in steep terrain and without the Lathrop I would get...
I pretty much wont buy boots from anywhere but REI anymore becuz of their awesome return policy... it’s a struggle to find the perfect boot. Iv bought probably 30+ pairs over the past 3 years and still haven’t found what I’m lookin for.. the Salomon 4D GTX is a “decent” mid priced boot that are...
Agreed ^ People talking about losing 30-50+ lbs ,,, they were a SLOB and don’t know what performance is lol... ur diet was Dog$hit so ANY type of strict eating ur guna feel 10x better.. there are levels of performance and the TOP tier need carbs
^^ yes you have to watch out on big hikes (especially in heat) on the Carnivore diet,, your body will hold LESS water without carbs... I liked the diet (did 1 month) but Iv never felt more dehydrated and woopT on the mountain.. Athletes,, Bodybuilders,, and pretty much everyone can expect better...
44 mag is a sweet bag.. I just didn’t like how they made the water bladder pouch high and short... I always carry a 3 liter (and a 2 liter backup) so that was kinda lame for me... also don’t like the straps sewn into the bag..,I prefer the old 22mag design all around but wish it was the size of...
The other factor is that obv the smaller caliber is a little better on fur if shot placement is equal ... but for a shot that’s not absolutely perfect,,, you will find more animals with a bigger caliber.. somewhere in beteen lies a perfect happy medium.. 22-250 or .223 is what I use mostly ...
