    I know you're specifically asking about bolt guns, but I've had a lot of luck in ARs across several bullets in that general weight range with 29.1gr - 29.3gr of LVR. Specially with the 103gr ELDx in my 18" AR, my load is 29.3gr. Might be worth a try in your bolt gun as well.

    Staball 6.5 and RL-16 are good for that, but these days Staball is a lot easier and cheaper to get. Wouldn't recommend the 45 grain load in most brass as it's a bit warm in my latest batch of Starline.

    That's exactly what it means, they make it pretty clear in the video. The 69gr, 77gr, 168gr and 175gr are apparently SMK copies while the 105gr and 140gr are Hybrid copies.

    I have an 18" Sig Cross that I mostly shoot Staball 6.5 and RL16 in, here are some of my Chrono notes from the range. The 6.5 holds up pretty well with shorter barrels (actually the .30-06 does too, the one I was chronoing the same day has an 18.5" barrel.
