42 grains of h4831sc with a 77 tmk made 3000 fps for me in a 16” rifle, with Peterson brass. Shot very well and wasn’t hard on brass.
Tmk at 22 creed speed, close range are destructive! Not using them because last year I lost front shoulders even when the shot was not on the shoulder.
I do
I was enough on the ragged edge of pressure with h4350 that I would get pressure signs with any moisture or heat. With 77s, 80s and 88s
H4831sc left me with higher case fill, and was insensitive enough that I could get the barrel hot and deal with some moisture. I just had my barrel...
That’s unfortunate.
I have cans I regret in the safe. They never get used. Expensive mistakes.
I’m thousands of rounds and multiple barrel into the three main suppressors I shoot, all Tbac, without any issues what so ever.
Same can be said for factory though. Precisely why buying reloading supplies in bulk is easier.
The sooner you are able to buy same lot everything for one barrel, the easier things become.
Here’s an example: off blue collar right now
Plus 125 for 1k primers. ~1200 for the barrel...
Probably not. A dasher dosnt have much out there either though.
Neither is ideal imo. The prc may be okay if there’s a lot of prone.
You could probably take both as well.
From your last description it sounds a little farther than your average PRS match.
I’d take the 223. You are not going to spot anything with the 6.5prc.
You can probably shoot nearly the whole match with a bipod and one bag. It’s not terrible idea to get a bag and practice with it.
99% of hunters who say they wear ear plugs every time, don’t wear ear plugs every time.
I just made that up. But it’s about accurate for the people I hunt with.
Probably more related to your barrel than the suppressor. I’m not sure how DD designs their cans but if this was an issue you would likely see more.
I have no shift on my rifles for first round, though they are often around 15- 20fps slower. Whether that’s the can being filled with air, or...
Arc would require a smaller bolt to be opened up.
No you can’t fire a smaller case head in a larger bolt. I mean you can probably fire it, but it’s not going to come out.
6 arc makes a lot of sense for someone who isn’t a reloader. For those that are, 6br, 6bra or dasher seem more appealing...
An update for those wondering.
The s&w 22 mag is getting pulled from bedside duty. Been shooting more drills with it in the yard and having an occasional malfunction. I have a thousand or so rounds though it and it’s just not reliable enough to trust.
The 5.7 I had to test fed reliably and...
Iv been close to buying a 6gt but havnt.
Probably a better choice than dasher but I’m going all in on alpha dasher for my game gun so figured may as well on my hunting rifle as well.
From digging, I probably would have been shooting the GT at similar powder charges as I am my 6 creed.
The...
