I imagine using a quality press would be similar to shooting a fine rifle or shotgun.
I’ve been saving my pennies for a Zero press, but Short Action Custom’s new Nexus press has me intrigued.
I’ve been using the method outlined in this video and the tripod is delivering bench rest accuracy.
Obviously, don’t lean on a “made in china” tripod ad your results will vary..
We have multiple life memberships in our family and have always chipped in extra $$. Lately we have been supporting the CRPA out here in Kali. There are plenty of orgs that do good work.
i was the last of my buddies to go bladder.
What sold me was how quiet a bladder is vs. the sloshing in a hard bottle. Thin plastic bottles make a horribly loud crackle too.
Is “durability” the reason you wish to ditch the bladder?
I use MSR Dromedry bags. They are incredibly durable. Mine have been strong enough to sit on (ymmv).

In addition to a bladder I always carry a...
Excellent post.
I’m one of those that believes wolves should be on the landscape, but allowed to be managed. Here in California, we have Mountain Lion and Bobcat that are no longer managed due to law. The end result has been tragic in regards to ungulate game.
When you add in the invasive...
Kuiu fit sucks for me as I am stocky at 210# and 5’10”. Gulch Gear fit has been better than Kuiu, but not as good as the Origin. The older Wranglers fit well, the new ones suck for me, the cut seems to sag and want to fall off with their pants.
Other than the articulation on the knees of the...
My VRSA size exchange finally arrived.
They are on the heavier side at 1 lb 5 oz.
The button is the webbing type.
The feel and weight of the fabric feels very similar to my WT Tactical trousers. The WTs are a bit heavier because they have some fleece type liner.
My initial impression of the...
Amazon has various sizes, confirm diameter of the tube end and order appropriate. It’s been a while and I don’t remember if the were 1-inch or something different.
I bought caps and can remove one or two leg sections on my 24l. It gets the weight way down, if you don’t mind sitting or kneeling.
With two sections removed, the height looking through level 12x50s is 42”. I’ve used this quite a bit for glassing while sitting.
Removing the two legs saves...
I was hunting a few weeks ago with a couple buddies. My Reactor seemed to be the preferred stove and my buddies kept borrowing it rather than using their own stoves. It annoyed me seeing one of them place a pan directly on the burner, wish I had that rack.
I saw this on another site and think it’s worthy to share here. This is $8.25 for the pouch, equal to a #10 can, supposedly. If you sign up on their email list, they’ll send you a code for 10% off or you can try MH10NEWS...
I just try to buy American as much as possible. I’m very happy that much of my clothing is made in USA. I figure that’s a start. The “happy holidays” in lieu of saying Christmas is just more woke BS. I’ll pay more attention.
