    Elk butchering costs

    Processing seems to be $250-$500 depending on how quickly you need it done, animal size and cuts. If I have any luck this year I am going to try the processing myself. Biggest hinderance to this is trying to get the meat frozen enough for a 36 hour trip home...dry ice definitely keeps it frozen...

    Feedback on Bushnell and Stealth Cam trail cams

    I have had positive experiences with the Stealthcam G Series. Easy to get up and running, dont seem to eat batteries, gets quality pictures. I have a few of the trailhawk cameras from Stealthcam and they are difficult to program compared to some of the other G Series.

    I use a 5 pin, first at 20 last at 60, can slide to longer distances if needed but dont shoot much beyond 60 except targets...

    Packing out an elk

    Pretty much what everyone else is saying, it always takes me 5 trips. Head always being the last trip. De-boning for me depends on how long and difficult the pack out is (steepness and deadfall).
