    Swarovski 25x50 eyepiece or 20x60

I am almost certainly going to buy a new spotting scope. Unless something really changes my mind, it will be a swarovski since I have always used and been pleased with their products. Here are my two primary issues still dancing in my mind: 1. Do I go with the 25x50 eyepiece or the...

More time glassing with Binos or Spotting Scope

I usually have someone with me who has a scope, but for reasons noted above if you find more elk with a scope it seems to suggest two scopes glassing is better than one. I am not looking for just any bull so I like being able to judge before walking.

More time glassing with Binos or Spotting Scope

When you are elk hunting, whether bow, rifle or muzzleloader, do you spend more time glassing with your binos or spotting scope? Personally, I spend far more time looking with the binos on a tripod, but wondering if there is a better mouse trap. I use to hunt more in the thick timber...

Another pack thread - my first - I am truly sorry.

Thanks Elk Nut. I hated to start another pack thread, but it seems like I am always looking for a better pack. FarmerLentz, I did look at Seek Outside earlier this week. I wasn’t drawn to that system for some reason. And, I know full well you have to try packs on to decide. Like...

Another pack thread - my first - I am truly sorry.

Okay, first time post, but have followed for years and read dang near every thread on packs here. I have been elk hunting for 30 years, still learning and still chasing gear. Here is my question. I am looking for 2-4 options for a pack that is VERY light, can carry enough for a days...
