    I've never looked through Mavens but when comparing my Swarovski Els with my Leupold guides and my Vortex vipers the biggest thing I notice it the field of view. They image is brighter and clearer through the Swarovskis but the field of view is my biggest benefit.

    I agree with everyone as far as the guide jacket is concerned. It's a lightweight soft shell, nothing more. Slightly lighter than a North Face apex soft shell.     When I painted my Magpul Remington stock I removed the action, hung it up, blasted it with brake cleaner and then spray painted with Krylon. I did three coats with tan, green, and brown using cedar boughs as stencils. I think it turned out well.
