Mounting position is all preference. The point of stabilizers is to get the weight away from the riser of the bow. I’d go with the cutter setup as it will allow you to place more weight further from the riser to help balance the bow with less weight overall.
I use 10 total ounces on a 15/12...
I only shoot my hinge maybe 3-10 shots a week. For me it does not translate to the the thumb release. I tried shooting a hinge all indoor league last year and my 3D scores dropped way off and struggled to effectively shoot a thumb.
This year I stuck with the thumb for indoor and it has...
I’ve shot several arrows like that, but it’s not as accurate as I can be holding a bow normal. I saw a guy shooting 3D resting rear bar in arm pit. He did not win. Wasn’t even top 5 at a local shoot in a bowhunting class…
I heard plenty of bugles from 9/6-9/9 in southern CO OTC. Were bugling until 8am and started up at 6pm where I was at even in the hot daytime temps. Not typical at all.
I have 6 Easton SuperDrive 25 arrows (will send 9) and 19 140gr 3D ballistic points from competition archery products.
-arrows cut 27” CTC (I’m 29.5” draw, cut at rest for 3D speed)
- 2 arrows never been shot, 4 arrows used but no flaws, 3 additional arrows need to be cut 1/2” from damage...
This is big factor. Being able to adjust things at home. Never know until you try and even after a lot of shooting may find a different DL/letoff works better for you.
For a hunting bow I just need some carbon to put weight on personally. Find what bar lengths, weights, and configuration works for you. I wouldn’t over spend on hunting bow bars. Not like you have a 30”+ or even a 15” bar with 20-40 ounces on it…that’s another story
Strings I don’t wax have lasted the longest. Target bow strings used for 3D lasts more shots than anyone here who hunts. Also depends how rough you are on them, but I’m a believer in not waxing them.
I shoot a ton of 3D for competition. TAC was just a fun shoot to go get some long range shots in with friends. I just helped cut an entire new 3D course this weekend for a local club to host the state ASA shoot this year.
I’m talking about once I was in the checkout process. You have 10 minutes once you get in to purchase or lose spot and then wait outside at beginning of line again. The spots were there and by the time I typed credit card information (on the next page) then hit send it was not the case. Time to...
Man that was a nightmare. Worst it has ever been for me. Guess that’s what happens when you make it big time. They added a nice feature this year so they can collect more money right away letting one person pay for the entire group, but I went to check out after entering card information and it...
I pay $146 a month for everything through frontline as I’ve mentioned before and it used to be even cheaper. They have customers nationwide.

I’ll add to this for people with the discipline. I use a 30 year for the cushion then once a year whenever I get my tax return I tax what I saved and make one large payment towards principle. I am on track for 15 years and it will cost me around 20k extra interest at the end of 15 years. But...
